Concertmaster

CONCERTMASTER ELYSE CATOE, a native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, began her studies on the violin when she was nine. She attended West Virginia University where she studied both violin and viola, and in 2008, she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree.

Ms. Catoe began her teaching career by initiating a string program in Marshall County, West Virginia. In 2010, she became an orchestra director at Atascocita High School, a job she held for five years until the birth of her older son. She currently maintains an active violin and viola studio, serves as a guest clinician with local school orchestras, performs for weddings and special events with Third Floor Strings, serves as Concertmaster for the Kingwood Pops Orchestra, and devotes most of her time to raising her two sons, Jonah and Caleb. In her free time, Ms. Catoe enjoys running, being involved with her church, and spending time with her husband, Colin.
